El Balcón
El Balcón is a Montreal-based group composed of six artists from diverse backgrounds. Considering themselves a family, they innovate by drawing inspiration from traditional music they are passionate about, such as Son Jarocho from Mexico and various styles from the Eastern world and Southeastern Europe. A jarana, a requinto, a violin, a double bass, a cajón, and a tarima accompany solo or harmonic vocals in a fully acoustic setup. This eccentric cocktail is meant to make people of all ages dance and to unite differences through a joyful moment.
